WebCrypKey allows a publisher or software company to distribute copies of a demonstration or fully functional program freely (including over the internet) and yet control the distribution of fully functional unlimited time versions of the same program. It allows the Demo to become the full version after payment of a fee (or entry of a special code which can support a many copy sale) and interaction via a custom registration sub-program with a remote site(s). WebCrypKey is a product and a service which Metadigm LLC and its customers have used for the last 10 years and which has been installed in hundreds of customer computers in commercial software. The multiple remote sites system (sites not related or connected to the Domain name sites customers go to learn about or download software) is inherently immune to Denial of Service Attacks and acts as an ultimate firewall to proprietary functions and/or data sets.

WebCrypKey also now provides "Unregister" a fully automated and unique way for users to be able to move their encrypted license software from one computer to another 24/7 without ever involving a customer support call or email! In addition the publisher can employ an automated "Personal" CD system for flexible sales of licenses (with a publisher internet remote controlled upper limit) through a credit card as password control system.

WebCrypKey is also the subject of three U.S. patents and patent applications. In its broader use it is a Distributed Scalable Transaction engine. Among its special abilities is the capability to support very small transaction volumes with variable downloaded content.

For example a Special Events exe provided automatically by Metadigm to a Community organization wishing to hold a raffle or dinner or baseball game etc. would be placed for download by that Community organization on their webpage along with a designated field which described the event of the day, week, month or hour. Any member or attendee to that site who downloaded that exe could run it at any time (or have it launch automatically on event changes at the Community site) and see and purchase tickets for the latest event. This would be billed automatically and require nothing more then the community site and up to three auxiliary ftp sites (per 5,000 users) along with a servicing pc or two at Metadigm's facility. This system would work 24/7 for the Community service at $1 to $3 per transaction with 45 day pay down (or a full coverage bond). 

Any complex information or automatic purchase, inventory and transaction service including shipment tracking could be provided automatically 24/7 with the monthly principal cost being the price of three or four ftp accounts (typically in small volume about $45.00/month) and a three pc's to provide fire walled isolated service with the companies proprietary functions. The system would be immune from Denial of Service Attacks.
